A holiday weekend

Jonathan told us that he figured out a way to get rid of the dandelions in our yard!

Last night we made homemade pasta & bolognese sauce.  Ohhhhh my!  Jon put on some good music and we gathered in the kitchen to work on our supper.  I tried to add the link but couldn't get it to work...the recipe is from thepioneerwoman.com

I love having Jon home.  I love holidays.   I love summer in Minnesota.

Bokeh

Do you see those lovely dots of blurry light in the background of this picture?  I learned that this is called Bokeh.  The past few evenings I've been watching the light in our trees to see if I could capture bokeh in a picture.  Last night I was practicing with a lovely lemon on the deck railing!  (I wonder if the neighbors think I'm crazy?!)  This evening the light was so pretty and so I asked Jonathan if he would come outside for just 2 minutes of pictures.  (He's rather weary of being my subject!)  So, in the picture below he is reminding me that I promised it would only take 2 minutes!  It worked....there's bokeh!!  So exciting.

Zumbro Trail Bluebells
