Jonathan has looked forward to this day since the very beginning of school. This is the day of the Kindergarten field trip to Twetie's Pumpkin Patch! Last night we sat down to dinner ($1 Burgers Day at Culvers!) and Jonathan showed all the signs of feeling sick. He didn't want to eat his hamburger, he was wrapped in a blanket, and cheeks were flushed. Jon took his temperature and Jonathan had a high fever. He woke up again at 2:30 with fever and so we knew that he would need to stay home from school today. Jonathan was very disappointed but he handled the news like a champ!
I'm trying to make today special for him. We just finished making Oogly and had a great time playing with it together. Here's the recipe:
Oogly
1 Box Cornstarch
2 c. Water
In a large bowl, mix ingredients. The mix will appear liquid, but when you squeeze it, it will form a ball and then become liquid again once the pressure is released. The consistency should be at a peculiar state of not quite liquid and not quite solid. Clean up is easy! After the water dries up all that's left is dry powder.
